It was Thanksgiving.
Chris was with ALL of Justine’s big family at the dinner table.
As part of tradition, each person went around saying what they were thankful for. Chris went last.
He started to tell them all the ways he was blessed. And how incredibly grateful he was that Justine was in his life. How thankful he was for her.
And one other thing.
If she would be his wife.
“Every single female family member was in tears,” Justine told me, as she recollected one of the happiest days of her life.
As you can see, this couple is adorable.
I met them for the first time during this session as we road-tripped through the gorge to take some epic engagement photos on one of the most perfect winter days I’ve ever seen. It was my first shoot of 2014 and I could not have been happier than to spend it with these two kind-hearted, down-to-earth people in one of my all-time favorite places!
Jessica and Tim are from the land of Texas and went to rival schools. They love dogs.
They met up with me to shoot some engagement pictures in the most Oregon-looking spot they could think of – the Columbia River Gorge – before moving back to Texas for their wedding! It wasn’t hard to convince me of this plan because I absolutely love any excuse to drive to the Gorge for an afternoon. Especially with beautiful people!
Congrats on your engagement you two!
Two couples + two photographers + epic scenery + glorious weather =
An amazing day.
I spent this past Saturday driving around the Columbia River Gorge with a fantastic, beautiful group of people. My friend Daron and I collaborated on the shoot and switched off photographing each couple at each place we stopped (Daron’s view of the day here). It was a really fun way to maximize our time! Did I mention the light was perfect? And it wasn’t even that windy, just a bit cold? When I was driving everyone around in the van it honestly felt I was just with a giant group of my best friends on an adventure. So. Much. Fun.
I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
I love what I do.
