St Lucia Pre-Wedding Photos at Calabash Cove

just got home from the most incredible trip to St Lucia to photograph Megan and Ryan’s intimate wedding! It was my first time to a Caribbean island and I am hooked! The colors of this place were unreal and it was the perfect location for a romantic destination wedding and engagement photos! I photographed these two over three separate days – first for their Calabash Cove St Lucia pre-wedding photos, then for their all-day intimate wedding, and finally an epic day-after session in the mountains! I’ll blog the wedding and day-after photos in separate posts (there are too many good ones to fit into one blog!) but for now I’d love to share these St Lucia pre-wedding photos with you! I took a red-eye flight to the island, rented a car with my fiancé, and immediately drove to the gorgeous Calabash Cove Resort and Spa  where the bride and groom were staying with their closest family and friends. We had just enough time to take some stunning sunset pre-wedding photos featuring all the beauty St Lucia had to offer. Then we had an amazing dinner at the hotel overlooking the ocean, and enjoyed an epic bonfire on the beach afterward! It started raining a little during the bonfire but the effect was magical! Photographing destination weddings and engagement photos like this is probably my favorite thing ever. The longer that I’ve been a wedding photographer, the more I really value the amount of time I get to spend with each of my couples and their families. Actually getting to know the people I work with, understanding their relationships and family dynamics, and just being able to capture them being 100% themselves is SO important to me. My favorite weddings are exactly like this one, where I get to dive so much deeper and really get to spend amazing quality time with the people I’m working with over several days. It is so special! I can’t wait to share more of these epic St. Lucia wedding photos with you in the coming days! Enjoy
