Rachel and David | Bainbridge Island, Washington Wedding Photography

Across the water from the great city of Seattle lies a beautiful island where life is a little slower and the world is a little brighter.

That’s where Rachel and David live. That’s where they grew up. And that’s where they got married.

I’m pretty sure I jumped up and down a little bit after they booked me for their wedding. A wedding on an island in Puget Sound? With two people who are completely, madly, ridiculously in love with one another? Count me IN.

So its safe to say that I had a blast.

I’m pretty sure everyone else did too.

See for yourself.

But my weekend didn’t end there…

The day after their glorious wedding, Rachel and David invited me to have brunch with their families, and then they personally took me around the island to show me all their favorite places! I brought my camera along just for the fun of it and… oh man. We got some good stuff. It was chilly and windy but I was so happy to be there with them, on the first morning of their new marriage, photographing them in little spots that had a lot of personal meaning to them, just for the fun of it.

This is why I love my job. Yup.

Congratulations Rachel and David! I cannot thank you enough for all your warmth and hospitality. This was one of the best weekends of my life and I felt so blessed to get to document your love story! Thank you so much for having me as your photographer!

Anisia and Josh | Portland Wedding Photography

Short, sweet and simple. That’s how I’d describe Anisia and Josh’s approach to their beautiful little wedding at Lolich Family Farm on September 7th. No wedding party. Short ceremony. Simple family pictures. No first look. Just a fun, relaxed outdoor party amidst Oregon blueberry fields with two people who happen to be completely and utterly in love with each other.

I was so happy to be there!

Congratulations Anisia and Josh! Your wedding was totally gorgeous and I have a blast working with you! I wish you both the very best!

Leah and Andrew | Junction City Wedding Photography

“I knew Andrew was right for Leah while I was living with her in the Tri Delta Sorority house,” said Ashley, Leah’s maid of honor, during toasts.

She had a crisis one day. Her hair straightener died. Leah was sad. If you are a girl, you understand.

But it’s not something your average guy would pick up on over a long distance casual evening phone call.

And yet two days later a brand new hair straightener magically arrived at the sorority house.

“That’s when I knew this guy was awesome,” said Ashley. “He bought her a new one and had it shipped right away. What kind of guy does that?”

The kind that is caring, sweet and attentive to detail. And madly in love with Leah.

When he proposed he set up a giant scavenger hunt all over Corvallis, ending with him surprising Leah with all her family and friends there to watch.

Because that’s what you do when you love someone that much. You surprise them. You get creative.

And then you get married.

Leah and Andrew tied the knot a little over a month ago at Dancing Deer Mountain near Junction City, Oregon. Leah did her hair and makeup with her bridesmaids beforehand at the Monroe Avenue Salon in Corvallis. When they eventually arrived at the venue, it was gorgeously decorated in blue, green, purple and mossy accents by event coordinator Andrea Friesen of Cinta Events. My fabulous friend Nina Lee did the flowers, boutonnieres and corsages!

Such a sweet little detail – Leah’s dad passed away, but she kept him close to her on her wedding day by sewing a patch from one of his old work shirts into her dress.

Congratulations Leah and Andrew! I had a fabulous time working with you, your families and your friends! I wish you both the best!
