You never know when you are going to meet the love of your life. You could be 10. You could be 50. Anna and Jake were 16 and 17. They went to the same high school. One day, they both ended up hanging out at a mutual friends house. Jake, the gentleman, offered Anna a ride home. They got to talking and he learned that not only was this girl stunningly gorgeous, but she also loved hunting! Not something you hear everyday. Then he pulled up into her driveway. Parked before him was a shiny beautiful truck. It was the exact same truck him and his buddies had been staring at in the high school parking lot every day. Coveting it. Wondering what lucky guy owned it. But it didn’t belong to a guy. It belonged to Anna. Jake was smitten. Game over. They’ve been together ever since. They might be young, but every part of my heart knows that they are going to have a ridiculously long and happy marriage. Anna and Jake, you are beautiful people as individuals, and even more beautiful as a couple. I can’t wait to see what comes next for you two! Their wedding day started at Valley Hair Design where Anna had her hair and makeup done with her bridesmaids. Then I went over to Jake’s parents house to see him getting ready with the guys

Then we all drove out to Forest Grove, where the ceremony was being held on a farm owned by Jake’s family. Anna continued getting dressed and ready with the girls there. It was so beautiful

Then Anna and Jake did a first look, seeing each other in private for the first time on their wedding day. It was gorgeous. I launched right into shooting portraits of them once they were done hugging and kissing and crying

After lots of hugging, everyone piled back into their cars and head back to Portland to the World Forestry Center for their reception

When I had a second I stole Anna and Jake away for a few more portraits…

Congratulations Jake and Anna! It was such a pleasure to work with you! I wish you all the best in the many years to come!
