Juli is a gorgeous senior at Sunset! We took her pictures at the beautiful Cathedral Park – one of my favorite locations!
Blair and Scott got married a month ago at Woodard Creek Landing in Skamania, Washington in the Columbia River Gorge.
It was epic.
Blair put so much hard work into her day. I’m pretty sure almost all of the decorations were DIY projects she took on. She even made her own bouquets. The woman is a stylish genius, and not to mention gorgeous. Being at her wedding was like looking at a pinterest board of wedding perfection. It was that cute.
But it was more than just cute.
It was relaxed and fun. And it was a party! Before the ceremony started, I found the bride, groom and wedding party playing quarters. Just hanging out. No big deal. And then 10 minutes later, “Hey let’s get married!”
They had personalized beer that was aptly named “Blair’s a *#?$?!”
The night ended with keg stands.
Everyone had an absolute blast. My favorite kind of wedding. Fun and pretty. No stress. Just happy.
Congrats Blair and Scott! I can tell you two are perfect for each other. You just fit.
You never know when you are going to meet the love of your life. You could be 10. You could be 50.
Anna and Jake were 16 and 17.
They went to the same high school. One day, they both ended up hanging out at a mutual friends house. Jake, the gentleman, offered Anna a ride home.
They got to talking and he learned that not only was this girl stunningly gorgeous, but she also loved hunting!
Not something you hear everyday.
Then he pulled up into her driveway. Parked before him was a shiny beautiful truck.
It was the exact same truck him and his buddies had been staring at in the high school parking lot every day. Coveting it. Wondering what lucky guy owned it.
But it didn’t belong to a guy. It belonged to Anna.
Jake was smitten. Game over.
They’ve been together ever since.
They might be young, but every part of my heart knows that they are going to have a ridiculously long and happy marriage. Anna and Jake, you are beautiful people as individuals, and even more beautiful as a couple. I can’t wait to see what comes next for you two!
Their wedding day started at Valley Hair Design where Anna had her hair and makeup done with her bridesmaids. Then I went over to Jake’s parents house to see him getting ready with the guys.
Then we all drove out to Forest Grove, where the ceremony was being held on a farm owned by Jake’s family. Anna continued getting dressed and ready with the girls there. It was so beautiful!
Then Anna and Jake did a first look, seeing each other in private for the first time on their wedding day. It was gorgeous. I launched right into shooting portraits of them once they were done hugging and kissing and crying.
After lots of hugging, everyone piled back into their cars and head back to Portland to the World Forestry Center for their reception!
When I had a second I stole Anna and Jake away for a few more portraits…
Congratulations Jake and Anna! It was such a pleasure to work with you! I wish you all the best in the many years to come!
A few weeks ago I shot some fun family photos on the beach for a big extended family! They were from California but were vacationing in Newport together and wanted to get some fun pictures done while they were all in the same place. We really lucked out with perfect beach weather, and the kids were all on their best behavior. I had a blast!
Never in my life have a seen a couple so utterly comfortable in front of my camera.
We met at Cathedral Park and I started to give Rachel and David my talk about how everyone feels awkward at first but after five minutes most people relax and have fun and stop noticing me and…
Hey…wait a second…
What the heck?
Rachel and David were already like making out. And nuzzling each other. And basically being adorable and perfect.
So I just shut up and started shooting.
I seriously cannot wait for their wedding next month. So much love. So much emotion. And it’s up in Washington State on the San Juan Islands. Can you say awesome? I can. Awesome.
