My little sister Claire and her roommate Mila spent thanksgiving with my family in Portland last week, and we did a little fashion test shoot just for the fun of it! It was something a little darker than usual, playing up their alter egos in the cold industrial part of town.
I took some updated headshots and portraits for my gorgeous friend Haley in October! She is a phenomenal singer, an incredibly sweet person, and a friend/muse that I’ve known for years now. I love love love any chance I get to photograph her!
Special thanks to Diane Johnsen for doing her makeup and Hilary Jordan for doing her hair!
World, meet Brittany.
She’s tall blonde goddess with the biggest smile you’ve ever seen and a heart of gold. Our friendship began over our mutual love for New Zealand, and she played a huge part in helping me plan for my trip there this past spring!
Anyway, we did this shoot for her birthday in August! On a whim, we decided to craft a crown of roses and other flowers from my garden, and then we set off to search for beautiful places in the evening light!
The results were magical.
I’m so excited to share this! I did a fashion shoot for the AMAZING designer Sophie Sabatini in July, and they’ve just launched their new website so I can finally share a few of these fun shots! Virginia and Megan did an awesome job modeling and it was so fun to do something so different from my usual work!
World, meet my beautiful friend Jenny. She is quirky, hilarious, gorgeous and I had an absolute blast photographing her for the first time ever this past month!
Hello world! Sorry for the blogging hiatus – I’ve been gone in New Zealand the past month! Just got back and OH BOY do I have a lot of photos to share! Cannot wait to get them up and ready!
Anyway though, before I get to that, here is a shoot that I got all ready to post before I left, and then promptly ran out of time to get it blogged!
So, without further ado, here is my lovely, beautiful roommate Virginia. We did a fashion shoot for her birthday right before I left. All these were taken at our place.
Daron is a very talented, ridiculously gorgeous photographer friend of mine ( www.daronjackon.com). So yesterday we did a photoshoot together in NE Portland and alternated shooting and modeling for each other, just for the fun of it! It was freezing, but the light was amazing and it was so refreshing to just wander, take photos, laugh, and explore.
Today my little sisters turn 21. I’m not sure the world is ready.
Personally, I couldn’t be more excited. I’m driving down to Eugene tonight to make sure they have an awesome time.
Because for 21 years now I’ve had two of the most awesome siblings anyone could ask for. There’s never a dull moment when these two are around. I love them to pieces.
So, in honor of them, here’s a little test shoot we did on Thanksgiving before we sat down for dinner. Something a little darker than usual. A little more edge. Gotta show off the haunting beauty they have.
Happy Birthday Annie and Claire :)
My younger sisters came home on Thursday for Spring Break, and they were welcomed with three days of beautiful (rare) Portland sunshine! We hadn’t done a photoshoot since the fall, so we decided to put together a little spring fashion shoot just for fun. The best part about this was I got to dress them in my two favorite colors – coral and aqua. So fun! Enjoy!
When we came back inside, we were all three talking to my mom in our guest room when I noticed the awesome southern light streaming through a translucent white curtain over the window. I grabbed my camera and reflector for a few more shots. I’m so glad I did! Can you believe these are 100% naturally lit?
