My name is Katy Weaver and I smile a lot. I also take a LOT of pictures, and enjoy eating anything with hot sauce. Okay, not dessert. But almost anything else!
I love sunny afternoons, fashion blogs, black coffee, painting, indie music, traveling and reading books. I’m also slightly obsessed with Pinterest and my favorite pair of feather earrings.
I can’t go anywhere without my water bottle, and yes, I’ll admit it, I like birdwatching.
I graduated from Oregon State University in 2011 with an Honors Bachelor of Science in new media communications and a minor in fine arts. I still travel to Corvallis pretty often (Go Beavs!) but I am now currently living in Portland, Oregon. I grew up here (Sunset High School! Woo!) and no matter how much I travel, Portland always feels like home. I love this city and the people who live here.
I have been shooting professionally for the past four years, and I’ve loved every minute of it. Why? Because above all, photography makes me ridiculously happy. My job allows me to meet tons of unique, amazing people on a daily basis! I absolutely love getting to know my clients and seeing their eyes light up when they tell their own stories. Even more than that, I love capturing these stories in my photos. Beauty isn’t in the makeup on your face or the clothes on your body – it’s in your laughter, your smirk, the mischievous sparkle in your eye.
If this doesn’t quite satisfy your curiosity, feel free to check out my website or send me an email! I’m always open to conversations with new people!
